A little less mileage today but a lot of intensity. Day 4 began with an ocean time trial 3km swim which was tough but gorgeous. I feel so at home in the water these days. It was certainly wavy and hard to sight but we all managed. Thanks to Anne’s pink cap that I could keep in view:) I love watching the world beneath the waves. The water is so clear here. But, it’s crazy how a little shade can make all the difference riding and running. On our first bike loop of 2, I completely melted, was feeling pretty ill this AM–likely the heat and fatigue, but the second loop felt so much better thanks to the cloud coverage. Our second run was similarly cloud covered and much appreciated. What I loved the most today though was our post training coffee run to Lava Java, watching the dragon boats and the beautiful surf. I also loved cuddling with Maya, she’s going to be one tough little athlete.
Tomorrow we swim with the dolphins!
