day 8

Epic camp day 8 Saturday up by 5:15am to get ready for 40k TT bike race. We did 15m up to the race, 25m race and 15m back home. By noon we had our fave time, epic breakfast! A bit later we were ready for a 3m run up to the pier where we swum 1.2m. We had group pictures and the last epic fun day. Later a special epic dinner out together.. epic fun but a bit sad at the same time because some of the campers had to leave to go back home.
Tara gave us more suggestions about training, and we gave feedback about the camp. We walked in town up to Lava Java for tea, coffee and ice cream yum! (that was me, our mental coach Etienne and Eric, our best chef ever eating ice cream). We totally deserved it since we worked our a–es off for 8 days. Now I am enjoying the great work done! Tomorrow, Sunday, is our day off.. time for beach, some shopping and packing. I fell in love with Hawaii.. all his beauty, fresh food and good people. I’ll miss it a lot and training with these amazing epic triathletes. I’m coming home (NY) tomorrow and so I’m taking everything in. Hasta la vista amigos, Aloha!
