Going up north

Today was another great day on EPIC camp. It started off with our 3k sea swim. Rolling in the waves, I made it through. Feeling that I am getting stronger, so managing the waves better. And getting curious about how it will be in a few weeks time after recovering from this week how I will swim, faster? easier?

After the swim we did a 5k run along the boulevard, so nearly flat. Nice and easy. Legs felt good, surpirsed because yesterday I did an 18k hard run in the wind and offroad, hills up and down. So definitly getting stronger there.

Then a nice bike ride was waiting. Off to Orzola, the northest point of the Island. Been up there once before but with my car. So it was really nice to bike there, nice steady pace and enjoying the views. A part of the Island that was new for me and it was amazing. Really enjoyed that. Even with all the headwind. So the wind is now my new friend that is there all the time and will never leave my side. A true friend here on this Island. And I embraced my new friend. So Climbing up the hill he helped me a bit, after lunch I went fast downhill and the wind pushed me back home. You just got to love it.

Tomorrow is already the last day, I am really going to miss all these great women who pushed their limits and have such great spirits. Thankfully we can ride tomorrow one more time together and smash the Ironman route of Lanzarote. 180k here we come!!! Looking forward to this long and hard training with my new EPIC friends and my new friend named WIND.
